I went to the Vancouver Film Festival once again, where I wrote about The Wild Goose Lake, The Lighthouse, The Shadow Play, and White Lie (at InReview Online). At Seattle Screen Scene I wrote about Takashi Miike’s First Love, Tony Leung Ka-fai’s Midnight Diner, and Shunji Iwai’s The Case of Hana and Alice.
